Girls’ Shelter Home

Girls’ shelter home is being run since March 2015 at Churu district headquarters. This is registered with Child Empowerment Department , Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur. The shelter home is a temporary place of stay of girls in problems.

The girls are often victim of human trafficking and are sent to their homes with the cooperation of child line, police and administration. Often the girls are trafficked from distant States like Bengal and Assam.

Many times minor girls leave their homes in a fit of rage and are exposed to the risks associated with the girls. When found they are kept in the shelter home for some days, counselled and sent back to their homes.

Among many facilities available at the shelter home is a primary school. Many girls have been linked with primary education. Often sports competition between the girls in shelter home and other schools are held.
